Recipes to celebrate with this week 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Canada Day and the 4th of July are both summer holidays celebrated with outdoor gatherings and barbecues. Here are some perfect recipes to enjoy this upcoming week!
Let’s get cooking!

Grilled Maple Salmon

A Canadian twist on grilled salmon, featuring the country's iconic maple syrup. The glaze adds a touch of sweetness to the savoury dish.
Pulled Pork

This oven-roasted pulled pork is touted as the best and only BBQ recipe you will ever need. Sweet and spicy, the classic southern flavours will be a joy for everyone!
Grilled Corn on the Cob

This dish brings out the natural sweetness and flavour of corn through the magic of grilling (which adds to the sweetness). The cobs can be seasoned with butter, salt, pepper, or any of your other favourite toppings!
Classic Potato Salad

This potato salad is creamy, flavourful and perfect for potlucks and barbecues! Throw it together when you have time, and have ready to go in the fridge 🙌

Classic Canadian Caesar

This savoury cocktail is full of controversy — you either love it, or hate it. Native to Canada, the Caesar is made with vodka as its base. Clamato juice, a mixture of clam juice and tomato juice, adds a savoury and tangy flavour. Give it go, and let us know where you side ;)

Fun Fact: Corn has a long history in the Americas. It was the most significant agricultural development (though tobacco is arguably more famous) for Indigenous peoples here. By the time Europeans arrived, Indigenous farmers had developed 150 varieties of corn, which grew from southern Chile to Ontario. Their knowledge in growing and preparing corn even played a role in the survival of the early colonists in North America!
That’s all for this week! We hope you’re feeling inspired and ready to face another week of meal planning 🧑🍳
