Fun Fact: Lemons are not a natural, original fruit, but rather a hybrid between a bitter orange and a citron. Originating in Asia, these evergreen trees can produce fruit year-round, and they were once so valuable in the Renaissance that they were used as royal gifts and, in some cases, currency.
