Non-oven recipes to combat these hot days!

Wow, I’m not sure about where you are in the world, but here, it’s super hot and muggy. That’s because we’re in the Dog Days of Summer, the hottest, muggiest days of the year. To combat the heat, we’re sharing some of our favourite refreshing and tasty dinners to make this week (so you ideally don’t have to turn on that oven 😅).

Let’s get cooking!

Garlicky Grilled Steak & Kale Salad

This hearty and healthy dish features perfectly grilled steak seasoned with garlic and paired with a crisp kale salad, tossed in a zesty vinaigrette. Perfect as a quick weeknight dinner, that feels gourmet.

Shrimp Bun Cha

A light Vietnamese noodle dish with caramelized shrimp, fresh herbs, and nuoc cham sauce. Cold vermicelli noodles, lettuce, and cucumbers bring the freshness, while shrimp and the fiery dipping sauce bring the flavours. Perfect for hot days!

Gazpacho

This classic Spanish cold soup is made with ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, and garlic, all blended together to create a vibrant and zesty dish. Serve it as a starter or a light meal and enjoy a taste of Spain 🇪🇸

Pasta Salad

Brighten up your summer meals! This pasta is perfect for picnics, barbecues, or a quick weeknight dinner.

Iced Green Tea with Mint and Honey

A refreshing summer drink, lightly sweetened with honey and flavoured with fresh mint. The recipe involves steeping green tea bags with mint, then mixing in honey, ice, and cold water. It's a healthier alternative to sugary beverages and is perfect to cool down with on these hot days.

Fun Fact: Gazpacho is a chilled Spanish soup made with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, and garlic. It's believed to have originated in the Andalusian region of Spain and has been enjoyed for centuries. It's a refreshing and cooling dish, perfect for beating the Spanish summer heat 😎
